Recently I decided that my room needed a little life to it. I bought a new comforter, sheets, pillow cases, throw pillows, the works. i cleaned and dusted my room. added pictures on the wall that a friend gave me. but none of it was enough. i still felt like it needed a little something more.

THIS is why blogs are so great
You know what i love about blogs...
they are non-profit so i can say whatever i want and post whatever images i want.
its my blog and i will blog about whatever i feel like blogging about
*interesting fact: did you know that facebook owns the pictures that you upload on your page (it states it in the contract that you agree to when signing up)
this means, anyone and everyone can use them too.
so blogging is a pretty awesome way to freely post whatever you want :)
with that being said... here are some images that i LOVE

My cuppy cuppy cake
For those of you who know me, know that i am completely obsessed with CUPCAKES!
I dont think this is a bad obsession, common... whats NOT to love about them? A small cake designed to serve just one. That's right, a miniature cake just for you!
They come in a wide variety of delicious flavors that are just too good to pass up. A good cupcake requires the best ingredients, must be fresh, and most importantly needs a good cake to frosting ratio. I can not stress that last point enough. The amount of frosting can make or break the enjoyment of the cupcake experience. If there is too much frosting it is just too sweet! but if there is not enough, its just not as 'melt in your mouth' delicious.
Not only do i love eating them, i love going to cupcake bakeries.
I know i am not alone in this obsession because some of the best bake shops here in LA have lines forming around the block waiting to get into these small little shops to have a taste of the famous treat.
Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica, CA
Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills, CA
My personal favorite cupcake shop is the Vanilla Bake shop in Santa Monica. The cake is moist and dense while the frosting is proportionate and lightly whipped, creating a buttery melt in your mouth sensation. They have full sized cupcakes as well as mini bite-sized cupcakes. They also sell full sized cakes, macaroons, coffee and tea. (Everything is baked and served fresh.)
Another bake shop i have recently discovered is Crumbs. The location i went to is on Larchmont Blvd. (but they have locations in CA, CT, NY, and NJ) They had so many wild flavors, some that i had never heard of! They are collaborating with Oprah and donating to charities if you order a certain flavor cupcake. could it get any better? a cupcake and a good cause!
These cupcakes have frosting not only on top, but INSIDE! so amazing!
Dont worry my vegan friends. There is an amazing Vegan and Glucose free cupcake shop in Downtown LA called Babycakes NYC (there is also a location in new york city) Their cupcakes are surprisingly delicious!
Here is a list of some of my favorite cupcake shops in LA :) if you have any suggestions of places i should try, please comment!

Also.....
I WILL have a cupcake wedding cake when i get married. you can count on it.
Briar Wilson took these beautiful pictures at an old roommates wedding last year.

St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Bike-a-thon
Today was the Meals on Wheels bike-a-thon. I want to thank everyone who participated in it and all 7 people who donated money (not as many as we were hoping but anything helps). It was a great experience. So fun to ride our bikes around in the sun. There were Pinks hot dogs and sandwiches, face painting, henna tattoos, and lots of caring and motivated people to help and participate.
